Our Platform

Leveraging advanced cloud-native and related business process technologies, we created the platform which serves as the resilient “straight-through processing” engine for our securitization business. By managing the issuance and ongoing administration of the Uniform Mortgage-Backed Security (UMBS) and complex multi-class securitization structures, we are an indispensable business partner to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Our robust, secure, and resilient cloud technology features:

  • security set up and settlement for new single and multi-class deal securities;
  • security calculation and administration including loan and security life cycle events, bond payment calculations, and ongoing disclosures;

How It Works

To meet the challenges of the market, such as data management, processing, and speed of execution, we’ve built a cloud-based platform that bridges the gap between the secondary mortgage market and investors. With security and traceability capabilities, CSS allows for the necessary regulatory oversight.

We transformed housing finance by enabling the Uniform Mortgage-Backed Security for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Since mid-2019, we have supported the mortgage-backed security needs of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Each month, we support the issuance of more than $400 billion in mortgage securities, generating consistent and necessary liquidity for the U.S. housing market. CSS manages 70% of U.S. mortgage securities, 49% of all asset-backed securities in the U.S., and 40% of global securitization.
